Drake & Morgan’s most anticipated bar-restaurant, The Bothy has launched in West India Quay, Canary Wharf and brings with it a new style of dining and drinks to East London. Whether you’re looking for an alfresco lunch, to unwind after work or kick-start the weekend in style, The Bothy. Althought British Summers aren’t always predicitable it’s good to know that there will be a new venue at which to soak up some rays and enjoy drinks from what has been tagged as London’s largest terrace bar, complete with the summer’s drink du jour – the frosé, wine slushie.
Spread over two floors, The Bothy is housed in a Grade II listed wharf warehouse and is filled with original features including dark timbers, flagstone flooring and structural steel beams, but it’s the small things that set this bar apart from its counterparts. Carefully curated touches echo Drake & Morgan’s unique style: contemporary furniture, soft caramel details, feature candelabras and eye-catching artwork all set an inviting tone for business breakfasts, laid-back lunches and post-work cocktails.
The Bothy’s extensive menu is smart and sophisticated with stylish small plates like broad bean and ricotta on toast with lemon and mint, main courses such as half roast chicken with chimichurri and a range of superfood salads, but it’s far from sanctimonious. The Bothy also serves up loaded wagyu burgers, buttermilk chicken and steaks. There’s also an extensive brunch menu complete with classic Full English (or Full Veggie); avocado on sourdough with chilli and poached eggs; and buttermilk chicken waffle with avocado, sour cream, jalapeno and chilli maple syrup. The menu sounds delicious and we’re sure it will bring pleasure and delight to everyone who walks through the doors! We can’t wait to visit!
